6 Reasons Trump will lose the 2020 election

  1. Covid-19
    It’s no secret that Trump could have handled it better. For example, he could have consistently recommended, from the beginning, that people wear masks. He didn’t. Perhaps, he was worried about re-election like a coke addict is worried about where they will get their next fix; ironically, in my not so humble opinion, Trump would have been (virtually) guaranteed re-election if he handled Covid-19 differently.
  2. Economy
    While recessions are inevitable, Covid-19 accelerated the economy into a downturn. Getting re-elected during an economic downturn? Good luck.
  3. Unknown
    In 2016 there was at least the hope or possibility that Trump might be able to get the economy back to where it was before 2008, and that Trump might be able to get prescription drugs prices under control. Now we know the results: Meet the Trump economy, no better than the Obama economy. With regards to prescription drugs prices, Trump brags about executive orders. Which is kind of like bragging about earning a trillion dollars in your dreams last night.
  4. Normalcy
    People don’t want a President tweeting like a lunatic all day, everyday. In addition, they probably don’t want a President running huge/trillion dollar deficits when things are relatively ‘good’ — i.e. before Covid-19.
  5. 2017 Tax Cuts
    While you might think tax cuts would help Trump, the term “tax cuts” is ambiguous. If anything, the 2017 tax cuts primarily benefited corporations and 1% of households, and trickle-down economics…
