It’s not true that trade deficits don’t matter

I like to watch Youtube videos on economics. Unfortunately, a lot of the comments in the Youtube comments section are inaccurate. One inaccuracy I’ve noticed is with regards to trade deficits. The United States currently has a huge trade deficit because we have way more imports than exports. Some comments I’ve read say something like the following:
