It’s official: Twitter is suing Elon Musk (for backing out of the deal to acquire Twitter). Nothing is surprising about this, which means Elon Musk is ignorant for even trying to pull a fast one on Twitter.

Regardless of what happens, including whether Musk gets off easy, Musk shouldn’t have ever bothered to engage in talks with Twitter.

I say Elon Musk ‘should” spend time in jail because maybe that will help him learn that he’s not invincible. It will also teach him that money can’t save his little butt whenever he gets into trouble. The reality, of course, is that I don’t think Musk will ever spend time behind bars. At the very least, I don’t think it’s very likely. But who knows for sure — anything is possible.

So, no, just because he has a lot of money doesn’t mean he’s brilliant. That’s an appeal to wealth fallacy. There are plenty of smart people who aren’t rich and plenty of dumb people who are wealthy. Also, that wealth came from Musk pumping Tesla stock to all his silly followers who think Musk is the best thing since Jesus Christ. But to be clear, I’m not necessarily committed to the view that Musk did anything illegal (concerning Tesla stock). But maybe he did. Who the heck knows.
